Is earning profit from placing links to an Islamic website and "Google AdSense" advertisements on an Islamic Facebook page considered unlawful (haram), by analogy with Islamic satellite channels, reciters of the Quran at mourning ceremonies, preachers on satellite channels, and sellers of Qurans and religious books?

It is permissible to place Google AdSense advertisements on a website if the website owner controls what is displayed and the advertisements do not include any religiously forbidden content. As for the ruling on placing links to the website on an Islamic Facebook page, if you intend to seek nearness to Allah through what you publish, and at the same time you intend the benefit of placing the links, there is no harm upon you, and you will be rewarded for the good published. However, be careful not to let the intention of worldly benefit prevail, lest you miss the reward. Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen explained that whoever has an equal intention of seeking nearness to Allah and worldly benefit will receive no reward. And whoever's worldly intention prevails will receive no reward. And whoever's intention of seeking nearness to Allah prevails, while also intending a worldly benefit, will miss the perfection of sincerity. We advise purifying the intention for Allah Almighty, and worldly benefit will follow as a result.
