Is it permissible for a Muslim to abstain from women and ask Allah to unite him with whomever he loves in Paradise, especially if their marriage in this world is unattainable?
What is known as a love relationship between young men and women is not sanctioned by Islamic law. You are not held accountable merely for your inclination towards a woman, as long as it does not lead to forbidden acts. There is no objection to supplicating that you both be united in Paradise, as long as you are not married. The prescribed course of action is to marry her, based on the saying of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: "There is nothing like marriage for two who love each other." If you are unable to marry her, you should turn away from her and seek someone else. Marriage becomes obligatory if you fear falling into what is forbidden.
