Until what age is sponsorship considered orphan sponsorship, and does sponsorship become charity after the age of puberty, and is sponsorship charity?

An orphan is one whose father has died and who has not yet reached puberty. Once they reach adulthood, the description of orphanhood is removed from them. Whoever sponsors an orphan until they reach puberty will attain the virtue of sponsoring an orphan. Anything beyond puberty is considered charity and benevolence. It is recommended for the sponsor of an orphan to continue sponsoring them until they become self-sufficient, whether on their own or through others. This usually occurs after they complete their studies and find employment, or, in the case of a girl, get married.
