What is the ruling on celebrating what is called "Al-Dhikra" on the the first Sunday of the month of Sha'ban?

Celebrating a specific day as an act of drawing closer to Allah is a reprehensible innovation (bid'ah), because the religion was perfected, as Allah Almighty says: "This day I have perfected for you your religion." Therefore, one must beware of innovating in religious matters, for anything not mentioned in the Sharia (definition) is an innovation. Instituting a third Eid in Islam in Sha'ban or any other month is among the innovated matters, and it is not permissible to do so even if the intention is good, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever introduces into this matter of ours that which is not from it, it is rejected," and in another narration: "Whoever performs an action which is not in accordance with our matter, it is rejected."
