What the husband did by way of fraud is not permissible in Islamic law. Muslims residing in the West should be good role models. The fraud must be rectified. Earning from this project is permissible despite the violations. Usurious gains must be avoided, and if acquired, they must be disposed of for the general benefit of Muslims. Working in cinema in Western countries is not permissible due to the cooperation in sin involved, and the husband must repent from it.
