Does anything happen if I think about the whispers of Satan, and how can I get rid of them?

What Satan whispers in matters like these, we hope it has no effect; due to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: "Indeed, Allah has forgiven my Ummah for what they whisper to themselves, as long as they do not speak of it or act upon it." We advise turning away from whispers entirely and in detail, for they are dangerous, and their cure is complete avoidance.
