What is the ruling regarding the marriage of a son to a girl he loved and with whom he spoke before marriage, and is it valid to describe her as a woman of good character?

We have not seen for two who love each other anything like marriage, for it extinguishes the fire of lust, protects one's chastity, promotes modesty, and prevents falling into indecencies. It also has other benefits, such as procreation and increasing the Muslim community. If she has spoken to him before marriage, this does not prevent his marriage to her. However, he should inquire about her religious devotion and character from trustworthy individuals. Observing the obligatory duties and avoiding major sins is sufficient. It is also recommended to perform Istikhara (prayer for guidance) so that Allah may choose what is best for him.
