Does a person disbelieve if he prays intentionally exposing his 'awrah, or prays intentionally while in a state of ritual impurity (janabah), or without performing ablution (wudu'), or in an unclean place, or leads the prayer (as an Imam) while violating one of these conditions, knowing that he does not intend thereby to mock the religion?

We advise the questioner to ignore the whisperings (waswas), as the matters mentioned are among the conditions of prayer, and whoever deliberately violates them invalidates their prayer. However, one does not commit an act of disbelief unless they intend to mock the rituals of Islam. Prayer must be performed with purity and covering the 'awrah, but without exaggeration. The strong presumption that water has reached all parts of the body suffices for ghusl, and washing the known parts of wudu is enough. Do not pay attention to the whisperings of Satan who wants to corrupt your worship. Remember that the religion of Allah is ease, "and [Allah] has not placed upon you in religion any difficulty" (Al-Hajj: 78), and "Allah does not burden a soul beyond its scope" (Al-Baqarah: 286). The cure for whisperings is through supplication, ignoring them, and not paying attention to them, not by trying to reach a certainty that one afflicted by whisperings cannot attain.
