Baldness is not a curse or a punishment; rather, it is a natural phenomenon that occurs to some men and does not diminish their status. In fact, Arabs considered it a sign of leadership. Many Companions and Tabi'un were bald, including Umar ibn al-Khattab, Uthman ibn Affan, Ali ibn Abi Talib, and Malik ibn Anas. Baldness was not considered a defect, and calling a person "the bald one" was not deemed an insult. The that states baldness is a purification from sins is a fabricated hadith.
