What is the recompense for the wife in this world and the hereafter if she prevents her ex-husband from seeing their daughter, despite a judicial ruling to that effect?
The jurists have agreed upon the right of both parents to visit their child who is in custody, and the impermissibility of a wife preventing her husband from seeing his daughter. This is considered a severance of the ties of kinship, for which a severe warning has been issued. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A severer of kinship ties will not enter Paradise." The noble Hadith also clarifies that Allah connects with those who maintain kinship ties and severs ties with those who sever them. The Holy Quran indicates that whoever severs his kinship ties is cursed, deaf, and blind. If the matter is before the judiciary, the right can be enforced.
