Who inherits a widow who was not blessed with offspring, and who has a deceased full brother who has two daughters, and deceased sisters who have male and female children, and who has a living full sister who has male children? And do the children of the deceased full siblings inherit?
If this widow dies, her full sister inherits from her, taking half as a prescribed share, according to Allah’s saying: ﴿AND IF SHE IS ONLY ONE, HER SHARE IS HALF﴾. The remaining half she takes by radd (return), due to the absence of a male agnate (’asib) and because the radd to the ashab al-furud (sharers) is given precedence over the inheritance of dhawi al-arham (relatives by blood, but not sharers or residuaries) according to those scholars who hold this view.
