What is the ruling on marrying a Christian woman who has converted to Islam and was not chaste?

If an adulteress repents, it is permissible for a Muslim man to marry her, even if she has not embraced Islam. However, if she has not repented from adultery, it is not permissible to marry her, even if she has embraced Islam. As for one who has embraced Islam but has not abandoned the indecency, her Islam does not prevent her from being described as an adulteress, because the sins committed during the period of ignorance are not expiated except through repentance from them.
