Is it permissible to say: "O Allah, bless our master Muhammad and his family and companions, all of them, by the number of hairs on the heads of humans"?

It is permissible to say: "O Allah, send prayers upon our Master Muhammad, and upon his family and all his companions, according to the number of hairs on the heads of humans," as there is no impediment. However, it is preferable to use other formulations such as: "O Allah, send prayers upon our Master Muhammad, and upon his family and all his companions, according to the number of what You have created and brought into existence." The best way to send prayers upon him is by using what has been authentically reported from him, such as saying: "O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent prayers upon the family of Abraham, You are indeed Praiseworthy and Glorious. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed Abraham and the family of Abraham, You are indeed Praiseworthy and Glorious." In another narration: "O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad, Your servant, and upon his family, wives, and descendants, as You sent prayers upon Abraham and the family of Abraham, and bless Muhammad, and his family, wives, and descendants, as You blessed Abraham and the family of Abraham, You are indeed Praiseworthy and Glorious."
