The absence of bleeding is not conclusive proof that virginity has been lost, just as its loss does not necessarily imply the commission of an immoral act, as there can be other causes. The husband erred by asking his wife about committing an immoral act; it is impermissible to accuse her without evidence, and she must conceal her past if she had committed fornication. The fundamental principle regarding a Muslim is innocence. The husband must live with his wife with kindness, disregarding suspicions. It is not permissible for him to spy on her or discuss this matter with her family. Rather, he must teach her the matters of her religion and protect her.
