What is the ruling on praying in a house that has become ritually impure due to the transmission of impurity to it from a previous house, and are all the contents of the house – such as beds and cabinets – also considered ritually impure?

A place is not ruled to be impure except with absolute certainty. A ritually impure place is purified by pouring water over it. The earth and what is connected to it become pure through drying, according to many scholars. As for the transfer of impurity, it only occurs if one of the two objects is moist or wet. Mere doubt about its transfer does not alter the original state, which is purity. One must turn away from obsessive thoughts (waswasa) and avoid them.
