Is it permissible for me to ask God for victory over my wife's family after they forced me to divorce her and refused to allow her return?

What your wife's family did by forcing you to divorce her is forbidden and manifest injustice. If the coercion reached the level of legal duress, meaning they threatened you with death or similar and were capable of carrying it out, and there was no way to escape except by divorce, then the divorce does not occur. However, if the matter did not reach the level of duress and you responded to their request, then the divorce is revocable (raj'i) if this was the first or second divorce and it was not for compensation. You have the right to take your wife back as long as her waiting period ('iddah) has not expired, and her second marriage is void. You are permitted to supplicate against them for victory because they are oppressors, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to supplicate: "Make our vengeance upon those who have wronged us, and grant us victory over those who show us enmity."
