What are the consequences of upright morals for the individual and society in this world and the hereafter?

Ethics hold a great status in Islam, and the Prophet, peace be upon him, was sent to perfect noble morals. Allah praised him, saying: "And indeed, you are of a great moral character." Ethics have positive effects for the individual and society in this world and the hereafter, including: removing grudges and disputes, attaining high ranks, gaining the love of the Prophet, peace be upon him, and proximity to him in Paradise, and the weighing down of good deeds on the scale on the Day of Resurrection.
