What is the ruling on listening to singing and taking pictures that do not cast a shadow for the purpose of remembrance? And does either of them prevent the answering of prayers?

Listening to forbidden music and taking forbidden pictures are among the reasons for being deprived of having one's supplication answered. Indeed, a man is deprived of provision because of a sin he commits. Forbidden music is that which includes musical instruments or calls to what is not permissible. Forbidden photography is explained in Fatwa no. 35203.
