What is the ruling on listening to music?
Singing accompanied by musical instruments is forbidden by the agreement of the four Imams. As for singing devoid of musical instruments, if it contains forbidden speech, then it is forbidden. And whoever listens to impermissible singing commits a sin thereby, and must repent sincerely.
