Is saying jokingly, "It seems there is a feud between your family and the Angel of Death," considered disbelief in Allah, and what should the one who said it do?

A Muslim must guard his tongue from speech that angers Allah, for a word uttered by a person, which he deems insignificant, may lead to his doom. Belief in angels and venerating them is among the pillars of faith, and the Angel of Death acts by Allah's command. Mocking angels is an act of disbelief (kufr) and an apostasy from Islam, as Allah the Almighty says: (And if you ask them, they will surely say, "We were only conversing and playing." Say, "Is it of Allah and His verses and His Messenger that you were mocking?" Make no excuse; you have disbelieved after your belief). Whoever mocks Allah or an angel is an apostate disbeliever. A word that includes mockery of the Angel of Death requires repentance, seeking forgiveness, renewing one's faith by declaring the two testimonies of faith (Shahadatayn), and increasing good deeds.
