Is it permissible to supplicate with "O Allah, protect us from him however You wish" when fearing contracting a disease, or is this supplication limited to fearing a person?

This supplication was mentioned in the Sunnah for repelling the oppression of an oppressor, as in the story of the People of the Ditch and when Suraqah ibn Malik pursued the Prophet (peace be upon him) and Abu Bakr during the Hijra. A Muslim is permitted to supplicate with whatever he wishes, such as the supplication "O Allah, suffice me against him as You wish." This is a good supplication, and its meaning is "ward him off from me and protect me from his harm by what Allah wills." It is not considered an transgression or a sin, unless the Muslim supplicates for something forbidden, sinful, for severing ties of kinship, or asks for something that Allah does not do.
