Is it permissible for a woman to go out with her husband for da'wah (preaching Islam) and seeking knowledge? Has it been reported in the Sirah (Prophet's biography) that the Mothers of the Believers went out for such purposes? And is this an act of the Jama'at al-Da'wah wa al-Tabligh (the Tablighi Jama'at)?

Call to Allah is not limited to men, as women are included in the generality of the Quranic discourse that commands inviting to good. There is no impediment to a woman going out with her husband for da'wah (inviting to Islam) if she is safe from fitnah (temptation/strife) and harm, for going out with a good intention is a good deed. The Mothers of the Believers sought knowledge from the Prophet, peace be upon him, and did not need to go far away.
