Is it true that the martyrs of the Hereafter are not [true] martyrs, but rather are only given the reward of a martyr, are not forgiven, do not have the status of a martyr, and do they intercede?

Martyrs of the Hereafter, such as those who die of plague, abdominal illness, or drowning, are considered martyrs, but they are not on the same level as the battlefield martyr. The latter holds a higher rank and reward. Authentic hadiths have been narrated concerning the intercession of martyrs, including that a martyr will intercede for seventy of his relatives. These hadiths undoubtedly refer to the martyr of battle against disbelievers. As for their inclusion of other types of martyrs, there is scholarly debate, but these other martyrs do possess virtue. The battlefield martyr is not washed nor prayed over, and everything is forgiven for him except debt, whereas other martyrs are washed and prayed over.
