The mother or another woman is entitled to a fee for fostering and breastfeeding the newborn. If the fee is not specified, the foster mother or wet nurse is entitled to a fair wage (ajrat al-mithl), which is determined by experts and those with experience, based on the service and breastfeeding provided.
