Does the Hadith of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): "Your menses is not in your hand," imply that a menstruating woman should neither enter the mosque nor do anything else?

It is not permissible for a menstruating woman or a person in a state of major ritual impurity (junub) to stay in the mosque, due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "I do not permit the mosque for a menstruating woman or a junub person," and due to Allah's (the Exalted) saying: "nor as junub persons, unless you are traversing a road, until you have washed yourselves." As for merely passing through and taking what one needs, there is no harm in it, as narrated by Muslim in his Sahih that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) when she handed him a mat (khumra) and said, "I am menstruating": "Indeed, your menstruation is not in your hand."
