Does repentance supersede what preceded it, and does he remain undutiful to his mother who became angry about his smoking, then he resumed smoking without her knowledge? And is it obligatory to report the negligence of workers, given the harshness of the management?

Smoking and disobeying one's mother by displeasing her are sins that can be removed by sincere repentance. It is not necessary to inform the mother of what was done if it would upset her; rather, concealment is preferable.

The work manager is a guardian and responsible for those under his care, and he must establish justice among the workers. If deductions are made from their wages unjustly, then it is not permissible to implement them or assist in them. Rather, the employer must be advised, for Allah is the adversary of whoever wrongs a hired worker. The manager must be gentle with the workers as long as it does not harm the work or violate regulations.
