If a wife relinquishes her financial rights to her husband in exchange for him divorcing her, and he divorces her, then this is an irrevocable divorce (طلاق بائن) in which the husband does not have the right to take her back except with a new contract. The intention to deprive her of her rights at the time of divorce is not a condition. If they both agree on the relinquishment in exchange for divorce, it is an irrevocable divorce. However, if the relinquishment is not linked to the divorce, then the divorce is revocable (طلاق رجعي).
