Does the ruling on a woman with irregular bleeding (Mustahadah) apply to one from whom blood was discharged after fasting two days of Ramadan, following a menstrual period that lasted 13 days, bearing in mind that she has only menstruated twice since the birth of her daughter and is taking breastfeeding-compatible birth control pills, and is she obligated to perform religious duties such as prayer and fasting?

Menstruation does not exceed fifteen days. If the blood discharged exceeds this period, it becomes istihadah (non-menstrual vaginal bleeding). A woman experiencing istihadah must perform prayer, fast, and fulfill all other religious obligations. It is permissible for her husband to have intercourse with her even while the istihadah blood is flowing.
