What is the meaning of the word "al-fajir" (the wicked/profligate) in the Hadith, what is "al-fujur" (wickedness/profligacy), and are there any signs or characteristics that distinguish the wicked person?

The profligate (al-fajir) is the transgressor who deviates from the truth. This includes the disbeliever, the openly defiant sinner, and anyone who has deviated. Profligacy (al-fujoor) is open defiance and disobedience. Among the signs of profligacy are: deviation from Allah's law, belittling His teachings, and not caring about sins. The profligate sees his sins like a fly that landed on his nose.
