Do not despair of your father's righteousness. Rather, embrace him, sit with him, study the religion with him, conceal his flaws, remind him of a good ending and God's watchfulness, and accompany him to visit scholars. Seek the help of your mother to remind him of the importance of her chastity and adornment for him, supplicate to God for his guidance, and marry him off if he is in need.
