The fatwa adopted by us prohibits abortion, even if the fetus is still a nutfah (zygote), unless its continued presence poses a threat to the mother's life. Therefore, it is not permissible for you to obey your husband in aborting the fetus for the reason mentioned, especially if the pregnancy has exceeded forty days.
