Does impurity transfer from a wet, impure laundry basket to clean clothes placed inside it, and what is the ruling on an iron becoming impure when ironing these clothes?

You are afflicted with waswasah (obsessive whispering); beware of indulging in it, as it leads to great evil. Impurity does not transfer merely by doubt. The default is that the basket in which impure clothes were placed, and about which there is doubt concerning the transfer of impurity from them, is not defiled, nor are the pure clothes placed in it afterwards, nor anything that touched it, such as the iron. The cure for waswasah is to ignore it and turn away from it. If you are afflicted with waswasah, there is no blame upon you for adopting the easiest scholarly opinions to alleviate hardship.
