Anger does not prevent a divorce from occurring if the angry person is aware of what he is saying. The majority of jurists hold that breaking an oath of divorce causes it to occur, regardless of whether the husband intended divorce or merely a threat, and this is the we adhere to. Accordingly, if your wife's family brought food into your house, you have broken your oath and the divorce has occurred. However, if the oath had a specific reason that has since been removed, then there is no harm in them bringing food, and no consequence will follow. Spouses should avoid problems and resolve them wisely. The husband should fear anger, as it is a gateway to evil.
