Does the petitioner deserve half the dowry after her divorce, and is her request for an independent house considered incitement for her husband to disobey his parents?

If a man divorces his wife after the marriage contract but before consummation, she is entitled to half of the mahr (dowry). However, if she requests a divorce in exchange for relinquishing her right to the mahr, this is a permissible khul' (divorce at the wife's instance) from her. If the husband takes the mahr unjustly, it is oppression. It is not permissible for a man to coerce his wife to take compensation from her, as Allah Almighty says: (And do not constrain them that you may take away part of what you have given them). If he does, then he is obliged to return the compensation because it was taken unjustly.

The wife has the right to a suitable dwelling, and her request for it is not considered incitement to disobedience unless it cuts her husband off from his parents or burdens him beyond his capacity. It is advisable to exit the relationship early if there is no reassurance about the future, and waiving rights may be an expiation.
