What is the ruling on working for a software development company, some of whose products, which I helped develop, are used in the alcohol industry?

It is forbidden to complete the parts of the aforementioned program if it will be sold to a company that manufactures alcoholic beverages, due to the prohibition of cooperating in sin and aggression, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression." Furthermore, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the one who drinks alcohol, the one who presses it, the one for whom it is pressed, and everyone who contributes to aiding in it. As for working in the company itself in permissible fields according to Islamic regulations, there is no harm in that.
