Is it permissible to take medications to reduce sexual desire, given the inability to fast or marry, and the questioner's constant exposure to arousal and the consequent hardship in maintaining ritual purity and prayer?

Fasting is a purification for the soul and a means of reward, recompense, and attaining Allah's pleasure. It is also a way to guard against sins, as it restrains the self from evil and helps control lust and reduce its intensity. As for taking medications that reduce lust, there is no harm in it if they are not harmful. However, what is more important is to practice acts of worship and beneficial activities that consume the body's energy, reduce fatty foods, engage in sports, and avoid arousal.
