How can one perform Hajj and enter into Ihram for it while brown discharge continues to flow after purification from postpartum bleeding (nifas) before its complete cessation? And is Hajj accepted in this case?

For a woman in postpartum bleeding (nifas) who wishes to perform Hajj or Umrah, it is prescribed for her to perform ghusl (ritual bath) when she intends to enter into ihram, and then to enter into ihram for the rite. She should perform all the rituals that pure women perform, except for circumambulation (Tawaf), which is not permissible for her until she becomes pure. This is based on the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying to Asma bint Umays when she experienced postpartum bleeding: "Perform ghusl and then enter into ihram." And his saying to Aisha when she menstruated: "Do everything a pilgrim does, except circumambulate the House, until you become pure."

Therefore, it is obligatory for her to enter into ihram from the miqat and perform all the rituals except for Tawaf. When she becomes pure and performs ghusl, it is then permissible for her to perform Tawaf and the subsequent Sa'i. Purity is recognized by seeing dryness or the white discharge (al-qassah al-bayda). Any yellowish or brownish discharge immediately following the nifas blood is considered nifas. If the duration of nifas exceeds forty days, it is considered istihada (irregular bleeding).
