What is the method for performing ghusl (ritual bath) from major ritual impurity and for prayer if menstruation continues for more than one day?

A woman is not required to undo her hair for ghusl (ritual purification) after major ritual impurity (janabah). Rather, it suffices for her to pour water on her head three times, then pour water over the rest of her body. As for ghusl after menstruation (hayd), it is not valid until the bleeding stops and purity is observed, which is dryness or the white discharge (al-qassah al-bayda'). If she performs ghusl and then the bleeding continues for more than a day, she must wait and is not permitted to pray until she observes purity.
