Where do the two seas mentioned in the Qur’an meet now, and where is the city of Basra located?

Allah Almighty says: (And it is He who has released [simultaneously] the two seas, one fresh and palatable and the other salty and bitter, and He has placed between them a barrier and an impenetrable partition). The two seas referred to are fresh water and salty water. The fresh water is like rivers, springs, and wells, and the salty water is like oceans and large gulfs. There is a barrier between them by the power of Allah Almighty, which prevents them from mixing. Al-Shinqiti mentioned that he visited the city of Saint-Louis and witnessed the Senegal River mixing with the Atlantic Ocean, where a person could scoop fresh water with one hand and salty water with the other in the same stream without them mixing.
