Fasting is not invalidated by direct contact (mubasharah) that does not result in the emission of semen. What is considered to invalidate fasting is penetration (eelaaj) or the emission of semen. Fasting is not invalidated when there is doubt about the emission of semen, because the default assumption is that it has not been emitted, and an act of worship is not nullified by doubt.
