What must be done by one who took a glove that was not theirs and forgot its location after departing the country from which the glove was taken?
It is not permissible for a Muslim to take what is unlawful for him, whether by transgression, theft, embezzlement, or usurpation, because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, your blood, your properties, and your honors are sacred to you, like the sanctity of this day of yours." Repentance to Allah is obligatory, and what was taken must be returned to its owner. If the owner cannot be found, its value must be returned, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The hand is responsible for what it has taken until it returns it."
