What is the ruling regarding the manner of performing the Friday prayer if a pilonidal cyst's discharge is continuous?

Pus and purulence are considered impure by the majority of scholars. However, the fatwa (definition) we adopt is that they do not invalidate ablution (Wudu'). Rather, it is obligatory to wash the wound site and bind it with a cloth before prayer, so that impurity does not affect the worshipper. Some scholars, like the Malikis, hold the view that impurity in such cases is excused to avoid hardship and difficulty.
