Is it established that the Prophet (peace be upon him) or his Companions performed Ruqyah on water, oil, or honey?

Ruqyah is permissible by the command and action of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. The blowing (nafth) involves a slight puff with a little saliva, or without saliva.

There is no harm in ruqyah as long as it does not involve shirk (polytheism). Ruqyah is performed by blowing (nafth), puffing (nafkh), or wiping (mash) to convey its effect to the patient.

It is permissible to recite ruqyah over water or similar liquids, for the patient to drink or wash with. It is also permissible to recite over oil, ointment, or food, then drink it, anoint oneself with it, or wash with it, because the words of Allah Almighty are a cure, as He says: (Say, "It is for those who believe, a guidance and a healing. And those who do not believe - in their ears is deafness, and it is upon them blindness. Those are being called from a distant place.")
