Al-Manawi is Abd al-Ra'uf ibn Taj al-Arifin ibn Nur al-Din Ali ibn Zayn al-Abidin al-Haddadi al-Qahiri al-Shafi'i. He was born in 952 AH and passed away in 1031 AH. He was one of the great scholars and authored more than one hundred works, including: Fayd al-Qadir, Kunuz al-Haqa'iq, and a commentary on al-Tirmidhi's Shama'il.
