Is it Sunnah to raise the hands when saying: "Rabbana wa lakal-hamd" (Our Lord, to You be all praise) after rising from Rukūʿ, and what is the manner of raising them?

The Sunnah indicates the permissibility of raising the hands when rising from rukoo' (bowing). The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would say, "Allāh hears those who praise Him," when he rose from rukoo', then he would say, "Our Lord, and to You be all praise." The manner of raising the hands when rising from rukoo' is the same as the manner of raising them for the opening takbeer (takbīrat al-ihrām): one raises his hands to the level of his shoulders, such that the tips of his fingers are level with the tops of his ears, his thumbs are level with his earlobes, and his palms are level with his shoulders.
