Earning from clicking on and browsing advertisements is not permissible, even if the advertisements themselves are permissible. This is because the amount paid is not in exchange for a legitimate, recognized benefit. For a lease (ijara) to be valid, it must be for a -compliant benefit, and merely clicking on and reading advertisements is not considered a legitimate, recognized Sharia-compliant benefit.
