Is it permissible for two disputing parties not to greet each other with peace if one of them intentionally insults the other, knowing that Allah says: "The recompense of an evil is an evil like thereof"?

It is not permissible to boycott one's husband's sister for more than three days, and the boycott ceases simply by greeting her. One must think well of Muslims and respond to evil with good, as Allah Almighty says: "Repel evil with that which is better." It is advised to improve one's treatment of this woman and to initiate greetings and kind words, even if with some effort, as courtesy reduces animosity and accustoms hearts to harmony. Forgiveness increases the forgiver in honor and dignity and is a path to attaining Allah's pardon and forgiveness.
