Is a wife entitled to seek divorce if her husband curses, insults, and threatens her with physical harm, even if there are children involved?

If the husband treats his wife in a harmful way, it is permissible for her to seek a divorce without sin. However, if she prefers to stay, she must fulfill his rights and advise him to fear Allah regarding her, to treat her kindly, and to take good care of her.

As for the husband, he should know that cursing and insulting are forbidden, especially with his wife, who is his captive. He should be pure of tongue and generous with her. A generous man honors her if he loves her and does not wrong her if he dislikes her. He must not harbor ill suspicions about her, and the wife should avoid anything that arouses her husband's suspicion and ill thoughts about her.
