What should a sister do concerning her husband whose treatment of her changed after Hajj, who divorced her in absentia, and who neither inquires about their children nor provides for them?

A husband's mistreatment of his wife and his abandonment of financial support for his children are forbidden, based on the Almighty's saying: "And due to them [the wives] is similar to what is expected of them, according to what is reasonable," and the saying of the Prophet (peace be upon him): "It is sufficient sin for a person to neglect those whom he is responsible to support." The husband must repent if he commits such acts. Efforts should be made to reconcile between the spouses so that they may return to and continue their marital life. If reconciliation is not possible, the matter can be brought before a judge to compel him to provide financial support.
