Is facing the Qiblah when supplicating for the deceased after their burial part of the Sunnah?

It is from the Sunnah to supplicate for the deceased before and after burial. As for facing the Qiblah when supplicating for the deceased, there is no confirmed report that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did so, and the narrations that mention this are weak. Although facing the Qiblah is among the etiquettes of supplication, it has been authentically reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, supplicated both facing and not facing the Qiblah. Therefore, whoever supplicates for the deceased while facing the Qiblah, there is no harm upon him, and whoever does not do so, there is no blame upon him. However, it is preferable to do so based on the general proofs for the permissibility of facing the Qiblah during supplication.
